On Sunday 16th June, the Parent Association of Ballyglass National School held a sponsored walk in aid of the school. Around 100 parents and children showed up on the day, and at 2p.m. they set out on their walk from the school to the water treatment plant at Emlagh and back again - a total of 6km.
Following the walk, everyone was treated to cakes, sweets, drinks, sandwiches, tea and coffee, graciously donated by local businesses and many parents from the school. Overall over €2500 was raised for the school. Thank you to all who attended on the day, to all those who donated, and especially to the many parents and the Parent Association who worked tirelessly at making the day a huge success.
