Green schools work

5th and 6th class took part in making bird feeders as part of Green Schools. First we cut a hole in

tetra pack cartons for the birds to get into. Then we painted the milk cartons with white primer.

Next we used straws and glued them onto our roofs of our bird feeders. Then we painted and

designed them with different colours and buttons. We are going to hang them up around the school

and put some bird feed in them. When summer arrives our bird feeders will be gathering flocks of

birds from swallows to crows.
