Our Bug Hotel

Bug Hotel
Ms Carr organised the making of the bug hotel as part of Green Schools. We are currently working on our fourth flag for biodiversity. All of the green schools committee helped out as well as Noel the caretaker and Angela Fahy. Shane Quinn Hardware donated four pallets to the school. The pupils of the school were asked to bring in materials for the bug hotel from home. The materials included sticks, red bricks with holes in them, flower pots, cut grass, pallets, toilets roll tubes, tiles, straw, wood, tiles, and cut up milk cartons. When we got all the materials that were needed, we started to get to work! Our job was to get bugs to come and live in our bug hotel. We had great fun making it and when it was done, it looked great and we were proud of our work.
